Bring on the Babes....

and I don't mean the kind in two piece swimsuits....
I mean the kind that are crawling and starting to walk and getting into everything, but haven't mastered things like stairs yet.
You can relax because we have two of these:

The gates are removable, so for our guests that do not have young children, they are kept in a closet out of the way.
After coming to the mountains several times with toddlers of my own and having to purchase baby gates at wal-mart and then trust that they would hold---- I know this is a wonderful feature.  One I would have appreciated!
So...as I said, bring on the babes and come visit us at Cinematastic View, where we strive to be family friendly.  :)

Under Construction

If you are new to our blog- please forgive the mess as I work on a new design.
HTML is a completely foreign language to me, but I am learning as I go!!

Restaurant Recommendation

Log Cabin Pancake House

Located at Light 10 off of the Pigeon Forge Parkway on the left.

I have wanted to try this restaurant for quite some time and finally got the chance yesterday.  We had a table of 9... 2 adults and 7 kids.  Yes, we were outnumbered. :)
Our server was awesome.  I can't say enough about her.  She was great with the kids, very exuberant and almost enthusiastic about serving our breakfast.  Her name was Pam if you want to request her.
The food arrived quickly and HOT.  Everyone was pleased with their choice.  The french toast got a double thumbs up from my sister in law.  The bacon was crispy and delicious.  Eggs were cooked correctly and we all left fully and happy.  Well, I left with a headache, but that was my fault for waiting too long to eat!
As for pricing, it isn't cheap- but it is inline with most other area restaurants.  The atmosphere isn't fancy, but is very quaint.  They are open until 2 p.m. and also serve lunch and had a lunch buffet.  I meant to look over the buffet, but refer back to my comment about having a headache.  I forgot!

Vacationing with Little Ones? We Got This...

So, you're going on vacation and you have young children.  You've made a list of everything you need to bring with you and you already feel overwhelmed before stepping foot out of the house.
Relax!  We have got you covered.  Now I know we don't have everything, but we have certainly thought of enough to lighten your load.
Let me tell you some of the things we have at Cinematastic View to make our home family friendly.

For sleeping, we have a pack 'n play.  We ask that you bring your own bedding.  To give you peace of mind, we have a baby monitor in the cabin for your use.
For eating we have 2 high chair options.  One for infants and small children- the Fisher Price space saver high chair.
This seat will attach to a regular chair for sitting up at the table and it will also recline so that you can feed your infant his or her baby food while they sit comfortably.
Our second option will also work for young toddlers who are able to sit on their own, but is also perfect for your 2, 3 or even 4 year old.
We have also provided for you an infant bath tub and there are a couple of infant towels if you forgot to bring yours.  Also provided is a portable infant swing made by fisher price.  Please do not your baby unattended in the swing.
We have some plastic bibs, baby spoons, bottle sterilizer, outlet plug covers and door knob covers as well, so you can be sure they won't wander out onto the decks unknowingly or into the bathrooms.
We have a very small selection of infant toys- I would say the ages of 6-20 months or so.  Not a lot, but maybe something different to help keep them occupied.
I am currently on the look out for a bumbo seat, a second pack 'n play and a bathtub ring.  When we have additions to our stash, we will let you know!!
